Whee! Neil Gaiman responded to my post on his journal. Check it out:

Hi Neil,

Congratulations on finishing your tour. I'm sure you must be aching to get back to your family and garden. Just thought you'd like to know, the trailer of Mirror Mask is now available at Apple.com. For the fans who were unable to see past the crowds during your sneak preview on your tour stops, here is the URL: http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/mirrormask.html

We can't wait. Have a good trip home and please send my regards to Eddie Campbell whose work on From Hell still gives me that wonderful feeling of dread.

Oh good. Eddie and his family were, as always, wonderful. I was just sad that I didn't have longer there.

McFunny!

No, that is not a painting of a clitoris. Our initial-crazy mayor Marides C. Fernando has been covering up graffitti with paintings of flowers and shoes in an attempt to rid Marikina of unsightly urban decay. Has nobody in her staff realized that this program can be read as "McFart"? A severe case of unfortunate branding if you ask me.

Addendum:

Text message exchange between Karlo and Elias:

Karlo: I'm misty-eyed. Scotty of Star Trek is dead. Nice article on CNN.com.

Elias: Pero kung si Spock yung namatay, may chance na mabuhay pa uli.

Karlo: Hahaha oo nga ano?

In the episode "Relics," off the sixth season of Star Trek: The Next Generation, USS Enterprise Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott, believed killed in action, is found alive on the USS Jenolen, retrieved from the pattern buffer of the ship's transporter. He is a man displaced in time, kept in stasis in digital limbo and shunted some seven decades into the future. Despite initially feeling old and obsolete, Scotty, by the end of the episode, has saved the Enterprise (this time the NCC-1701D), earned the crew's respect, and regained his sense of self worth. He flies off in a shuttlecraft, given to him by the Enterprise, to continue with his own personal adventure.

James Doohan, the Canadian-born actor who played Montgomery Scott died in his sleep early Wednesday, from pneumonia and Alzheimer's Disease. He spent 85 years on this planet. His ashes will be shot into space. He shall be missed. "Here's to ya, lad."

Gay Man Doesn't Like Big Titties (or, What I Learned from Rockstar Neil Gaiman)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Such will be the title of my upcoming article on my Neil Gaiman experience for the bawdy raunchy mag Pump. I wonder how fans will react to my blasphemous treatment of the man? Will insist that the above photo be included to show readers that I am a fanboy myself, but a fanboy who can make fun of his hero.

Found this neat online service called Polaroid-o-nizer. Nice way of spicing up old photos. Works better if I can figure out what the hexadecimal code of my blog's background color is.

Spotted this book of erotica while browsing at Powerbooks the other night. I thought, what a serendipitously appropriate cover, considering all the events happening in the Philippines right now. What's in the book? I didn't bother to look inside, but wouldn't it be hilarious if the book were about a cunning power-hungry woman clawing her way to the top of the political food chain by performing sordid sexual favors for minor government officials?
