Decided to resurface today after a three-day weekend. Some pretty cool things...

Sunday afternoon, found a copy of Neil Gaiman's Coraline and bought it for Daphne. Decided to go home via MRT then the new MEGATREN from Cubao to Katipunan. It was like a day at the fair: kids lining up with their parents waiting eagerly for the gates to open all grinning and laughing and generally having a shallow good time. The stations were amazing. Cubao has a split level track and lots of trellis frames. Very post-modern. Katipunan Station looked like something new from Singapore with escalators all around. I want to perform there. The trains were also quite a change from the LRT or MRT -- loads and loads of legroom and no doors between compartments.

Monday, a holiday, was dibidi day. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of pirated DVDs in that area near Arlegui Street. Crazy! What, the cops are afraid of the Moslem vendors and don't do raids? I shouldn't be complaining -- I got myself ten DVDs at 65 bucks each. Happy! Will be back there again soon =).
